Whistle-stop birding in Hampshire with Paul Frost and Tony Hulls.
Hayling Island Oyster Beds; Red-breasted Merganser, Little Egret, Ringed Plover, Grey Plover, Dunlin, Turnstone, Shore Lark, Rock Pipit, Little Grebe.
Warblington Church; Cattle Egret, Little Egret.
Walpole Park; Ring-billed Gull, Common Gull, Herring Gull.
Southsea Castle; Purple Sandpiper, Rock Pipit.
On our return journey from Hampshire we received news of a Little Auk at College Lake, Tring. So after dropping Tony off at Maple Lodge we picked up Brendan and hotfooted it over to College Lake where, in the fading light, we enjoyed crippling views of a Little Auk
