A non birding break to the Isle of Mull with my better half. We stayed for 4 nights at
http://www.arlelodge.co.uk/. Although not a birding break I did my my best to see as many birds as I could. Driving on single track roads while keeping an eye out for birds is not easy. Also not easy trying to disguise the fact that I'm doing it! I didn't keep a proper list but off the top of my head I did see the following; House Sparrow, Greenfinch, Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Meadow Pipit, Skylark, House Martin, Swallow, Starling, Greylag Goose, Willow Warbler, Buzzard, Common Gull, Curlew, Lesser black-backed Gull, Great black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Gannet, Guillemot, Black Guillemot, Shag, Oystercatcher, Great Tit, Stonechat, Whinchat, Wheatear, Spotted Flycatcher, Dipper, Ringed Plover, Red-breasted Merganser, Great Northern Diver, Twite, Puffin, Manx Shearwater, Puffin, Collared Dove, Golden Eagle, White-tailed Eagle, Hen Harrier, Peregrine, Raven, Bullfinch, Wood Warbler. Probably one or two more, a few pics below.
